The platter for two looked kinda yummy and huge when it was served at the table...loved the battered fish and fries. Well, maybe should give the fish and chips a go the next time. The aglio olio with mushroom was flavourful and I thought the pasta was cooked al dente.
Clam chowder, not my usual favourite...but reminded me of clam chowder I had at Boston
These two words, "food" and "friends", are always seemingly closely associated, especially so in my life. There are probably hardly any friends in my life who would tell me that they are going on a diet. Even if they were to tell me that they're going on a diet, that mission would eventually experience a natural death. We are too spoilt for choices where food is concerned. Or could it be more of determination, discipline and perseverance that are in play? Food seems to be an enjoyment in most people around me or well, do we usually seek solace in good food? Anyway, I guess no matter what kinda food, let's just be thankful that we have food served in front of us and hunger is not a basic need that's not met in our lives.
Caught up with Shirley and Edmond over a makan session last weekend. We had lunch at "Little Fish Shop" at NEX, a restaurant that we thought we had not been. We had our teh peng at Toastbox after lunch. Goodness, almost spent the whole afternoon chatting, eating and drinking. Edmond, glad that you have made that decision, good for you! I guess at the end of the day, it is important to know that we have tried :)
