Finally met up with my very good friend and her little monster for some lunch and shopping. Took many pics of Charlotte dearie but I think this seems to be my favourite for the day. Maybe it's coz of her smile...simply natural and sweet. Ha, this monster sure knows how to pose! It makes the job of the photographer easier, I guess. But I believe there's also beauty in candid shots.
Life is like a story and we are the writers of these stories in life. At the end of one's life, what kind of story would we have written? What would the content be like? Let me begin writing my own story, sharing bits and pieces of my life...

Video games
My addiction for the past weeks...could not seem to get enough of this song. What an attitude...what an enchanting chant...
A familiar scent
It must have been almost ages ago since I last owned that scent. Well, frankly speaking, I am not sure if I like to enter that boutique. I always wonder why lights gotta be so dim, why the music has gotta be so loud, why the existence of only babes and hunks as sales personnel. Maybe the problem lies with me :P Anyway, finally decided to check out A & F in town. Yes, so long after it's opened :P Thank goodness, there wasn't a queue waiting to enter, well, most probably it's a weekday. Got attracted by the scent...realised it's kinda like the same scent that I owned many many years back when I went to the States and bought a bottle of it. Hmm, except for the bottle of perfume, I think the rest of the apparel didn't really appeal to me. Bought that bottle of perfume and quickly walked towards the main entrance hoping to see daylight. I was greeted by two hunks. Well, I managed a smile but I am not sure if I am gonna patronise this boutique anytime soon.

Attention grabbing
Who would have thought that a bag of strawberries would actually be such an attention grabber? Well, at least it got me busy snapping shots of it...couldn't resist the art form of each one of those strawberries, let alone the loudness and contrast in their colours.
Baby...my feelings
For those moments that you looked into my eyes...I felt embraced
For those minutes of silence when you sat comfortably on my lap...I felt a connection
For those playful and crazy moments that we have had...I felt like a child once again
For being you...I love ya lots
The colour of my fingers
Some people in your life simply refuse to give up on you and what you are capable of doing. They continue to have that faith and belief in you despite the numerous failures you have had from past experiences, despite you almost being at the verge of giving up on yourself. I have never had green fingers (I think I probably have black fingers), I 'killed' almost every plant that I had tried planting. Even cactus wouldn't survive long in my hands - tried and proven. At times, in my busyness, I simply forgot to water them and tending to them has always been a challenging task to me. I guess I need help understanding them at times. The only surviving plant that I own right now is a gift to me and it now sits nicely at my workstation, well, still looking good.
Is it food or art?
The unique floral arrangement that caught my attention...
Potato croquette
Chips and hummus...simply adored that jar and the content within, what a little beauty!
Mushroom tea...flavourful, savoured every sip of it
Smoked eel with apple jelly...exquisite and delicate, one bit of it is enough to bring delight
Organic beetroot composition...refreshing!
Smoked organic egg...too pretty to be eaten and once eaten, you will never ever forget how silky it is
Confit arctic char & shellfish...the little sides seemed more appetising than the fish
Iberian black pork...Goodness, so tender. Ha, we started talking about how these would go well with lotsa rice and gravy - the Chinese style :P
Palate cleanser...mango and lychee sorbet
Choconuts...unique presentation and a dessert that has to be savoured bit by bit
Victorian pineapple...with a dash of black pepper :P
Petit Fours...I felt like a child enthralled by all the little surprises.
The view from our table...such a nice quiet afternoon
I must say that I have brewing myself in a cauldron of busyness at work in the past month, even to the extent of being chided by PY for not pampering myself enough :P Thanks for reminding, my friend :) We have kinda agreed to go in search of nice places for meals every month and that was a meal at Jaan in the month of February...well, I suppose it's a long overdue blog post. The set lunch at Jaan (Swissotel) was filled with sweet and nice little surprises. I was especially fascinated by the presentation of the different dishes and the attention paid to the finest details. Every dish that's served is a piece of art, too lovely to be eaten at times...
