Not Sembawang again!

Met up with Kat and Jiaqi over the weekend, a pity Rene could not join us, we gals have not really met for quite a few weeks I guess. When we gather, eating has always been a big part of the agenda, especially so with Kat. She recommended this zichar place in Sembawang. It's at 22 Jalan Tampang, opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre. Well, thank goodness I was not the driver, clueless about the direction :P It was quite a 'happening' place for makan I must say. There were quite a few eateries over there. The zichar place that we went was called "Sembawang White Beehoon - You Huak Restaurant", a teochew zichar place, pretty small and crowded, thank goodness Kat made a reservation (can certainly trust her efficiency when it comes to makan sessions). It is a must to try the white beehoon, every table has it. I kinda like it, abit like Hokkein fried noodles style but it has its own unique taste, not too salty and beehoon was cooked just right. Together with a little of the gravy, it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh too. But I must admit that I also added lotsa chilli padi to my beehoon, ha! The wu xiang was nice too. Order the fishhead cooked in nonya sauce, tasted more like assam though. The fishhead was fresh but the gravy was a disappointment. However, had a jolly good time savouring the eyeball! Yummy! I don't need any fish meat, juz gimme the eyeball, heh heh! Spotted a fishhead curry eatery over there too, "Chye Lye Fish Head Curry", very crowded too, must try the next time :P
Kat dearie, thanks for thinking of me and that box of tau sar piah, muack! Ms Tan dearie, I am sure you had a good time shopping for your birthday gift that day, well, do continue to pamper yourself, I bet you will :P Love ya gals!

  2. Hi dere! Yup, will definitely try the curry fishhead one of these days. I suppose all of us are doing fine, busy as usual. Ha, realised that it's real tiring after a day's work to practise yoga. Well, so far so good, finishing beginner's class soon. We have meditation in our class too!
