It's been quite some time

What a piece of art!

Angeline sent me a picture of Tammy today and she told me that Tammy's getting fatter. It's been quite some time since I last saw Tammy... Oops, ha, for those of you who are wondering who on earth is Tammy, she is a stray cat who always wanders around or rather, always sleeps at the coffeeshop near my workplace. Was telling Angeline that I missed seeing Tammy sleeping lazily at the coffeeshop :) Hope Tammy is doing great...meow!

How's Bob doing?

Bob dearie has real interesting sleeping positions :)
(Photograph taken from http://www.facebook.com/thestoryofbob)

Bob is doing great! Have been checking on his progress via facebook where his caregivers would post pictures and comments of Bob. He's eating lots now and is probably back to his active self, thanks to his loving caregivers. Well, wish his fur which was shaved off during the surgery would grow back soon though :P ...I can't help but to say this again, Bob is really one real lucky cat, a very special one too. Take care, sweetie :)

A message to Bob

Dear Bob,

I read about you in The Straits Times (5 March) and before I could finish reading the last bit of the article, I was tearing. I was determined to find out more about your story so went to check out Facebook, tears flowed uncontrollably looking at all your pictures... You are such a brave sweetie to have gone through the numerous operations, it must have had been painful. You know what, I thought your story really brought out the beautiful and lovely side of people. You are such a special darling in the eyes of many that they are all keeping you in their thoughts and prayers. I knew I had to make a trip to Books Actually at Tiong Bahru, I wanted to do a little something for you. I did and there were others there too, people whom I am sure will continue to give you the love and support. I wish I could give you a little cuddle, I wish I could soothe the pain that you have...Keep fighting my dear, we all want to see that sparkle in your eyes again...love you

The rescue

Such a little darling...

When I woke up this morning, my father told me that he suspected that a kitten was trapped in between two walls at our backyard. It seemed to have kept mewing since the previous day. That kinda got me worried. Oh no, trapped for two days?? There's actually a narrow gap between the wall of my backyard and the wall of the carpark at the condo. There's lots of ferns growing in between the two walls. Forgotten that I had not had my breakfast, I quickly took a ladder and used a pole to search for the little kitten. The wall at my backyard was way too high for me, I couldn't reach the thick growth of ferns and couldn't see the kitten at all. But I could hear clearly the continuous mewing of the kitten from amongst the ferns. I was helpless. I knew I gotta get help from SPCA. Reported the case and informed them of the details. They took no chance although I told them I really could not see the kitten. They sent an officer down to check things out. While waiting for the officer, I looked at the sky, it was getting dark and cloudy. Oh no, it's gonna rain! I was hoping the officer would come quickly, was waiting at the main door...Within half an hour, the officer came. He seemed cool and calm :P He climbed over to the wall at the condo and tried to use his pole with a special loop at the end to get the kitten. Wow, he was fast! Within minutes, he got the kitten! At that moment, he was really a hero to me :P Goodness, that was such a tiny kitten, probably just days old. It was still mewing and was very active. When I held it in my hand, it was no bigger than my palm. I was really happy and glad to know that it's not hurt. Brave little sweetie! Hmm, wondering where its mother was...
I asked the officer if I could take a photo of that little sweetie and he patiently waited for me to take a few shots. He must have found it amusing to see a silly gal getting so excited and thrilled over a little kitten. I couldn't stop thanking him and it was as if that was my kitten :P He asked me if I would like to keep it...I paused for a while, my mother gave a glare...I politely declined the offer...As the officer took the little sweetie to the van, I wished and hoped that it will grow up well and fine.

Sleeping Tammy

That day, while buying lunch at the coffeeshop near my workplace, Angeline came to me quickly after buying her daily 'dosage' of bubble tea. She pulled me to the other end of the coffeeshop, wanting to show me something. Hee, I had a strong feeling it's Tammy and indeed it was. Tammy was lying right in the middle of the walkway, simply oblivious to those people walking past, its body stretching comfortably on the ground. When I went near it, well, it couldn't even be bothered, seemed indifferent. Hmm, at times, kinda like this attitude that cats have. Took a picture of Tammy, Angeline shook her head and smiled, an old man turned around, looked at me and smiled. Ha, to them, I must have been acting crazy, fussing over a stray cat and even taking a picture of it. Hmm, well, kinda didn't bother about what others were thinking at all at that point of time, just loved to watch Tammy. Sent a picture of Tammy to XF and she asked how I knew the cat's name. Well, I don't, I just love to call it Tammy. Silly gal!

Slept like Tammy this Saturday morning, totally ignored the alarm that sounded at 9.30am, pulled the blanklet over my head, hugged my pillow tightly and was enjoying the comfort of my bed. What a nice Saturday morning to be sleeping, felt so luxurious :P It was kinda time for lunch when I finally got out of bed reluctantly (I felt I could sleep the whole day :P). My dear Tammy, we seem to be alike to a certain extent. Oh well, maybe you are kinda luckier coz you get to sleep like that everyday :P

Tammy

Saw Tammy last week when I was buying my lunch at the coffeeshop and walked towards her. Seeing that I was giving her that attention, she walked towards me affectionately, licking my feet and started brushing her body against my legs. I heard a shriek and there came Angeline reminding me that I should go and wash my legs :P She was looking for me and knew I must have had been drawn away by Tammy, feel sorry for her that she has a kinda stubborn and naughty friend like me :P Guess what, the very next moment, as we were both walking away from Tammy, Angeline tripped and fell flat on the ground! I meant really flat, we were both in a state of shock, I quickly helped her up, picked up the drinks that she had dropped and scurried back to our workplace. The funniest thing was we were laughing like mad over lunch about what had happened, recalling what we did and how stupid we must have had looked. Luckily, Angeline was not seriously hurt, just a bruise on her knee which she has been constantly reminding me these few days :P If I have not gone to see Tammy, if Angeline had not come over to look for me, maybe she would not have tripped. But knowing Angeline, she never really did blame me. Haha, what a day and what a good laugh we had over it :) Oops, sorry Angeline :P

Meow meow...

I recognised her the moment I saw her today! Hmm, well, maybe I shall call her Tammy, feel strange not giving her a name :P It has been a long time since I last saw Tammy. I still remember the photograph I took of her sleeping in an interesting position outside the bakery near my workplace. Today, I saw her just along the pavement outside the coffeeshop, lazing around in a lazy afternoon, licking her paws. Somehow, to me, she is a classic beauty. With distinct black and white fur, she just has a way of getting my attention. Cats are usually kinda indifferent and at times cold, they are not as affectionate as dogs. But I feel that Tammy is kinda different. Me being me, I went near to her to say my hello (silly gal in action again :P). Any other cats would probably 'shoot' you that suspicious glare and before you are within one metre near them, they would probaby be out of your sight in a split second, wary of your actions or intention of getting near them. As I walked towards Tammy, she actually walked towards me with a kinda friendly pace, I felt accepted, that really felt good! I was wearing a long skirt and there she was, twirling round my two legs and ha, sometimes covered by my long skirt. Ha, I must have spent too much time with Tammy, going stupidly crazy over a stray cat, Angeline came over from the coffeeshop, a little worried about that overfriendliness of Tammy. Anyway, bought my lunch and headed back to work. But it was a sweet moment spent with Tammy. See ya soon, Tammy! Meow meow...

Sleeping beauty

I was buying lunch at a nearby coffeeshop near my workplace yesterday and my colleague pulled me to a bakery shop. She thought I would be interested to see something that she spotted. I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. You should see that smile on my face, I think I said it out loud, “So cute!”, without even caring about how passers-by would respond. They must be wondering why this crazy woman’s so fascinated over a cat. I went very near that ball of fur and it still did not budge. Ha, it was sleeping so comfortably, like a dead log. Well, I could relate to that, hee! Without hesitation, I whipped out my mobile phone and tried to take pictures of that sleeping beauty. At that instant, just felt like rubbing its tummy but on second thought, think it’s better to leave that kitty to enjoy the afternoon nap, I bet it did, what a beauty it is : ) “So cute!!!” Okie, enough crazy gal, don’t lose your composure, cool k :P
